Family Church

Each Sunday from 1pm-3pm, we hold Hope for Kids Family Church at the Den. Children and their families from all walks of life are welcomed for a hot meal, time of worship, and interactive service for all ages! As families and individuals return week after week, they have a chance to hear the message of salvation, build relationships with the Hope for Kids family, and grow in their faith. Learn more about Family Church here.

Club Hope

Tuesdays from 5:30pm-7:30pm from September-May, the Hope for Kids Den is open for Club Hope. [For specific Club dates, check the Calendar!] Kids ages 5-12 have dinner, hear a lesson centered around finding “treasures” in God’s Word, participate in character-building small group “camps,” and play games. We are so excited to launch Club Hope this year with a brand-new format and curriculum! Learn more about Club Hope here.

Event Hope

One Saturday a month at 12pm, kids ages 5-12 are invited to Event Hope at the Den [For specific Event dates, check the Calendar].  Kids have lunch with our volunteers, hear a Bible lesson, learn life skills such as painting and baking, celebrate holidays, and build lasting relationships. Kids from all over Springfield along with our community families look forward to these events every month! Learn more about Event Hope here.

How can I help?

There are so many ways YOU can get involved in the ministry of Hope for Kids! Check out all the options below.

Help with Ministry needs

We rely completely on God to fund our work through prayer and donations. If you would like to be a part of what He is doing in Springfield, you can visit our Donate page.

If you’d like to help us keep up with the many supplies our busy ministry runs out of, check out our Supply Needs page! We’re always in need of things like paper goods, coffee supplies and food items.

We also are always in need of meal helpers for all of our events. If you’d like to make a meal for a Sunday or Tuesday event, please visit our sign up page to sign up!

Volunteer at a Club or Event

It takes a village to run events at the Den! We are always looking for volunteers to work with us.

Screened volunteers: view our sign up page and click “Club Hope” or “Event Hope” to volunteer on either Tuesday nights (Club Hope) or Saturday mornings (Event Hope)! Volunteering is a one-month commitment. Check the calendar for specific event and club dates.

Join a volunteer Team

If you would like to help occasionally with specific facets of our ministry, consider joining one of our volunteer teams. Contact us today to be added to one of these teams!

Food Team: Meals are served at the Den 2-3 times a week. Sign up for the Food Team to deliver a prepared meal on a one-time or ongoing basis or to be notified of food supply donation needs.   Please visit our sign up page and click “Provide a Meal” to sign up!

Response Team: Needs such as food, clothing and baby supplies often come to our attention as we work with families in the city. Join the Response Team to be notified when a family has a need we can meet.

Transportation Team: Children often want to come to our events but have no way to get there. Join the Transportation Team to drive our van for events on a one-time or ongoing basis.

Prayer Team: Join the Prayer Team to be placed on a list to be called or texted when there is a situation that requires urgent prayer. Pray!

Awareness Team: Interested in getting the word out about what God is doing at Hope for Kids? Join the Awareness Team to be notified when there are important updates to pass on to your church and community.
